We’re excited to share that the MinEastry of Postcollapse Art and Culture has been invited to take part in the upcoming colloquium Decolonial Aesthesis in Practice, happening on September 24, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. at Botaki Factory in Zürich.

This event is organized by Rebecca J. Squires (LUCA School of Arts / KU Leuven, Brussels) and moderated by Nitin Bathla (University of Zurich / ETH Zurich). It brings together artists, curators, researchers, and cultural workers to explore how decolonial aesthesis can be enacted through practice: in art, curation, publishing, and beyond. Drawing on Mignolo and Vázquez’s framing of decolonial aesthesis as “a non-normative space […] open to the plurality of alternatives,” the colloquium invites participants to reflect on and share practices that challenge dominant narratives and open space for new imaginaries.

Speakers:

  • Andile Magengelele, Botaki Factory Collective
  • Thabiso Phepeng, Botaki Factory Collective
  • İlknur Demirkoparan (MPAC)
  • Vuslat D. Katsanis (MPAC)
